STOUTS COMP. WAS HUGE - 21 ENTRIES
|
|
|
CONGRATULATIONS ED AND RYAN!
|
|
We had 21 total entries in the stouts competition spanning 9 separate BJCP categories. After a rigorous judging session broken into four separate tables, Ed Tessier took top honors with his Kitchen Ceiling Stout and Ryan Durgin was runner up with his Chocolate Te-kill Ya Stout. Both of these great guys will join in on a brew day at Trinity Brewhouse as the award for their awesome brews.
Ed is selling kits (both extract, and all grain) at his store Tessier's Hardware if you want to brew the winning Kitchen Ceiling Stout yourself.

NEW FACES
Ray from West Greenwich has been doing extract batches for 6 years and heard about us on the internet.
Molly is a mortician by day and came to us as Patrick's friend.
Ryan just moved here from Colorado, has been brewing for 10 years and is a big fan of Lagers.

Ocean State Homebrew Competition!
- THANK YOU to all who spared their time and efforts to make this competition possible!
- A hugely successful competition this year!
- 439 officially judged entries
- Countless RIBS members organized, volunteered, judged, stewarded and competed.
- 9 attending RIBS members took home 17 medals
- We raised 309#'s of dry goods and around $1600 for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank
